Install IBO Player and connect it to IPTVnu
IBO Player is the app we set most customers up with. You install it, read two codes off its start screen, enter those codes on iboplayer.com and add your IPTVnu login there. This page tells you which code goes in which field.
Before you start
Open our WhatsApp message on your phone now. You will copy from it in step 4.
- The screen you want to watch on, online: a Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, phone or tablet
- IBO Player itself, which costs nothing to download
- Our WhatsApp message with your server URL, username and password
- A second device with a browser (phone, tablet or laptop) for the activation page
The five steps
Do them in this order. Steps 2 and 3 go together: leave the codes on the TV screen while you type them into your phone.
Get IBO Player onto the device
Open the app store that belongs to your device and search for IBO Player. That is the Google Play Store, the App Store, the built-in store of your Smart TV, or the Amazon Appstore on a Fire TV Stick. Can't find it there? iboplayer.com lists a download link for each type of device.
Copy the MAC address and Device Key from the start screen
Launch the app. Its start screen shows two codes: a MAC address and a Device Key. Both belong to this one device. Write them down character for character, and keep the colons in the MAC address.
Activate the device on iboplayer.com
Grab your phone or laptop and open iboplayer.com/device/login. Type in the MAC address and the Device Key, then log in to your IBO Player account. No account yet? Create one there. This connects the device to your account.
Add your IPTVnu login as a playlist
In the dashboard, click '+Add XC Playlist' (XC stands for Xtream Codes). Fill in the server URL, username and password from our WhatsApp message, give the playlist a name you will recognise later, and save.
Reopen the app on your device
Close IBO Player completely on the TV or phone, then start it again. It now pulls in your live channels, films and series. Give it thirty to sixty seconds the first time.
Want us to handle the activation?
With an IPTVnu subscription we activate your first device for free. For an extra device, or without a subscription, it's €5 for a year or €9 for life.
How IBO Player activation worksThe two codes on the start screen
People often confuse them, but each one has its own job.
Your MAC address identifies the hardware. It is six pairs of letters and numbers with colons in between, and it does not change when you delete and reinstall the app. IBO Player uses it to know which device you are activating.
The Device Key is generated by the app. It shows that you are standing in front of the device at the moment of activation. Is there no Device Key on the start screen? Restart the app, because it fetches a fresh one every time it opens.
You only type both codes in once. Still, keep the MAC address somewhere handy. Whenever you ask us for help with IBO Player, it is the first thing we will ask for.
XC playlist or M3U link?
Our login works with both, but you get more out of one of them.
Pick Xtream Codes, which IBO Player labels '+Add XC Playlist'. You get three fields: server URL, username and password. In return you get films, series and the TV guide next to the live channels, and the app keeps the list up to date by itself when we add channels.
An M3U link packs your login into one long URL. It plays, but you lose the TV guide and the separate sections for films and series. Keep it for players that cannot handle Xtream Codes, such as VLC on a Windows PC or Mac.
When something goes wrong
These are the messages customers send us most, and what fixes them.
'MAC address already in use' appears
Someone linked this device to an IBO Player account before, possibly you. Log in on iboplayer.com with that earlier account and manage the device from there. Forgotten which account it was? WhatsApp us the MAC address and we will help you sort it out.
The activation page says 'device not found' or shows an error
Almost always a typo. Go through the MAC address one character at a time: 0 versus O and 1 versus I are the usual suspects. It helps to leave the app open on the TV while you type, so you can read the codes straight off the screen.
The playlist is saved, yet no channels appear
IBO Player only reads a new playlist when it starts up, so close it fully and open it again. Still empty? Then the details probably went into the 'M3U' form instead of 'Xtream Codes'. The forms look similar, but your login only works in the Xtream Codes one.
After switching the TV off and on, the playlist is gone
Your playlist is stored in your IBO Player account, not on the TV. If it vanishes, the TV has lost its link with that account. Redo step 3 with the same MAC address. Does this happen again and again? Some devices change their MAC address, so message us and we will look at it with you.
Setup worked, but the picture freezes or skips
That points to your network or bandwidth, not to anything you set up wrong. Our guide on fixing IPTV buffering takes you through the checks in order.
