IBO Player not working? Start with the message you see

This page is for when IBO Player is already installed and something is off. Look up what the app shows you: an activation screen that keeps coming back, a playlist without channels, a refused server URL or a licence request. Setting it up for the first time? The IBO Player install guide is the better place to start.

Keep this at hand

You will need these while you go through the checks.

  • The MAC address and Device Key from the IBO Player start screen
  • Our WhatsApp message with your server URL, username and password
  • A few minutes to close and reopen the app between checks

Message and fix

Find the message that matches your screen. For a first-time setup, use the install guide instead.

IBO Player keeps asking you to activate

The device has lost its link with your IBO Player account, which can happen after a restart or an update. Open iboplayer.com/device/login, enter the MAC address and Device Key from the start screen and log in with the account you used the first time. Can't remember which account that was? WhatsApp us the MAC address; that is what we need to trace it.

The playlist is added, the channel list is empty

Check where you typed your login: it belongs under 'Xtream Codes', not 'M3U'. The forms look alike, but a login for one does not work in the other. Then close the app completely and open it again, because IBO Player only reads a new playlist at startup.

The server URL is refused or you get a connection error

We give you the server URL with http, not https. An https added by mistake makes the connection fail. Also look for a space that came along when you copied the URL, at the start or at the end.

A licence request or trial message appears

IBO Player has a trial period of its own, separate from your IPTVnu subscription. When it ends, the app asks for a licence linked to the same MAC address and Device Key you activated with. That licence is for the app only. You can buy it on iboplayer.com, or we can activate it for you as an official reseller; see the block below.

'Device not found' or a similar error during activation

Usually one character is wrong. Check the MAC address against the screen one character at a time; 0 and O, and 1 and I, are easily swapped. Not sure where the MAC address and Device Key are? There is a separate page for that, linked below.

Want us to handle the activation?

With an IPTVnu subscription we activate your first device for free. For an extra device, or without a subscription, it's €5 for a year or €9 for life.

How IBO Player activation works
Request activation
Good to know: IBO Player is just the app and comes without any channels. Its activation costs €5 for a year or €9 for life, per device, and is separate from your IPTVnu subscription.
Can't find the codes on your device? See where to find your MAC address and Device Key. Starting from scratch? Follow the IBO Player install guide.
App works, but the picture freezes while you watch? That is a network matter, not a setup error; go to fixing IPTV buffering. Channels fine, TV guide blank? Then read IPTV EPG not loading.
